Hey anglers, Captain Jorge Erosa here with today's fishing report straight from South Padre Island Bay. The weather is fantastic, with clear skies and calm waters, making it perfect for a day out on the bay.

Today, we had some great action targeting red snapper. They were biting consistently around mid-morning, especially near the rocky structures along the shoreline. Using live bait proved to be the most effective method for enticing these beauties.

We also had some luck with grouper today. They were hanging out near the deeper channels, and casting with cut bait produced some solid bites. The fight with these strong fighters was exhilarating, providing our anglers with an exciting challenge.

As for redfish, they were a bit elusive today, but we managed to land a few decent-sized ones. Patience was key, and persistence paid off as we worked the grassy flats and oyster beds.

Lastly, we encountered some greater amberjack towards the afternoon. They were feeding aggressively near the wrecks and artificial reefs. Jigging with heavy tackle brought them in, offering our anglers a thrilling battle against these powerful fish.
